Just In: The View Loses Rating War To Fox Talk Show – Can A Return From Whoopi Save Things?….. Continue Reading

The View has been around since 1997 and has had a plethora of hosts along the way. As one of the more popular talk shows in daytime drama, it’s often been up there in the ratings. After all, you don’t remain on television for over two decades without a high viewership number.
Still, The View recently lost to a Fox program, in the ratings. This was during the month that host moderator, Whoopi Goldberg was absent. Now that she’s back, can she “save” things?

Fox Network’s ‘The Faulkner Focus’, hosted by Harris Faulkner, had an average audience of 2.552M, while The View averaged 2.508M.
It’s important to note that The Faulkner Focus showcases important news stories, with top newsmakers, and offers insightful analysis.
Many factors could’ve led to the dip in ratings for The View, as the show’s popularity seems to be fizzling lately thanks to some of the comments from hosts.
Still, with Whoopi Goldberg taking a break from the show, some wonder that, with her return, could the show’s rating numbers go back up
Will February Be Different?
Whoopi Goldberg took an extended absence from The View in January 2025. While the show was on holiday hiatus from December 23, 2024, to January 3, 2025, Goldberg was off until Monday
January 27, 2025, which was due to a work commitment. Joy Behar ended up replacing Whoopi as a moderator on the panel, and many View fans missed Goldberg in this regard.
