Breaking: King Charles Starring in New Amazon Prime Documentary…..See More

Filming has already started on the new movie, which will reportedly “tell the world what the King stands for and what he is all about.”
Move over, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, there’s a new royal documentary star in town. King Charles III is set to join the entrepreneurial couple in the nonfiction film space, with production already underway for an Amazon Prime feature about his urgent concerns about the future of the planet.
The film has yet to be publicly named, but according to the UK Times, it will center on the ideals presented by King Charles in his 2010 book, Harmony: A New Way of Looking At Our World.
Speaking with Vanity Fair at the time of the book’s release, the then-prince of Wales said that he wrote the philosophical treatise because “I am absolutely determined to be the defender of nature. Full stop. That’s what the rest of my life is going to be concerned with.”
This is a call to revolution,” the longtime environmentalist wrote in the opening of the now-15-year-old book. “The Earth is under threat. It cannot cope with all that we demand of it. It is losing its balance and we humans are causing this to happen.”
The concerns Charles laid out in 2010 have certainly intensified in the years since, especially given the current US administration’s stated plan to undo work to battle the climate crisis. Meanwhile, Charles’s children have expressed agreement with their father in the matter, with Prince William making efforts to reduce his carbon footprint and Harry advocating for environmental innovation in the States.
The latter, who also starred in 2022’s Harry & Meghan, has a nonfiction deal with Netflix. The latest in that arrangement, a show starring his wife and entitled With Love, Meghan, will debut on the streamer on March 4.
The series is intended to give the world “an authentic look at” Markle, a friend said last month. An unnamed source who spoke with the Times suggested that Charles’s Amazon project seeks a similar level of candor. “More than any other documentary he has done before, the aim seems to be to tell the world what the King stands for and what he is all about,” the source said.
The BBC reports that Buckingham Palace has confirmed that the project is mid-production, and that the king is “greatly looking forward” to seeing his book translated into film. The movie is expected to drop on Amazon Prime by the end of 2025 or early 2026.
