Just In: Royal fans say same thing after spotting ‘huge change’ with Meghan’s engagement ring….See More
Royal watchers have spotted another significant change to Meghan Markle’s engagement ring.
Eagle-eyed royal watchers have noticed the centre stone of Meghan Markle’s ring appears to have transformed from its original cushion shape to a square cut.
The 43-year-old – who is gearing up for the release of her new Netflix series on March 4 – released the trailer for With Love, Meghan earlier this month.
After spotting the notable change in the trailer, one fan took to social media, writing: “I don’t think the centre stone is the same. The original was more cushion-shaped, and what she wears now is closer to emerald cut.”
The original engagement ring, following the couple’s proposal back in 2017, featured a centre stone from Botswana flanked by two diamonds from Princess Diana’s collection. The ring was also set in yellow gold, which happens to be Meghan’s favourite metal.
In 2019 – the year after couple tied the knot in Windsor – Harry commissioned celebrity jeweller Lorraine Schwartz to redesign his wife’s ring.
The redesign, which coincided with Harry gifting Meghan an eternity ring, changing the plain gold band to a thinner micropavé style adorned with tiny diamonds.
Taking to social media, another fan – who spotted the change – wrote: “Is that the fourth evolution of the ring?”
Another observer added: “Looks like she’s changed the centre stone from a round diamond to the more expensive square cut.”
The speculation surrounding Meghan’s ring arose after viewers caught glimpses of it in the Netflix trailer. Meghan can be seen reaching for flowers with her ring clearly visible in one clip.
As reported by GB News, jeweller Maxwell Stone of Steven Stone claims that Meghan’s engagement ring remains the most valuable piece. It is estimated to be worth around £120,000.
