Meghan Markle has taken a bold step to silence online trolls to protect her kids, Archie and Lilibet

Meghan Markle received support over her decision to limit online engagement and shut out trolls to protect her kids, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

Ever since Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, returned to social media and disabled comments on her latest Instagram post, she is getting criticism for limiting online engagement.

However, the Duchess has finally received support from social media expert Ryan T Williams, who hailed Meghan’s move as “brave.”

He noted that Meghan is sending a clear message that she won’t tolerate online abuse and is protecting not only herself but also her children, Archie and Lilibet, from the dangers of the internet.

“Put yourself in her shoes, why should she put up with it? She’s not fair game, and she’s sending a clear message that she isn’t allowing online abuse in her spaces, keep it on your own pages,” he told Daily Star.

“It keeps the focus on her content and her projects, which are incredibly important to her and the ones Archewell supports. She’s sending a clear message that she won’t be allowing the trolls to attack her.”

He added, “More parents need to look at protecting their kids online. In the work I’ve been doing over the last few years, I’ve found there are three types of parents: the kind that doesn’t care, the kind that doesn’t know and the kind that is all over it

What Meghan and Harry are doing, with such a high profile, is a smart move. The dangers for kids online are vast and for their kids especially as there is an unhealthy obsession with them and what they look like which I’m sure Harry and Meghan are purposefully protecting them from.”
