Breaking News: Royal fans fume after BBC host breaks protocol as King Charles makes rare TV appearance….Read More
The King made a rare appearance during Countryfile’s Christmas special but royal fans did not like a particular kind of move made by one of the hosts.
Royal fans were unimpressed after a TV host appeared to break royal protocol when he touched King Charles’s elbow during a BBC Christmas special of Countryfile on Sunday.
The King made a rare appearance in the festive programme, which was filmed at his Highgrove home and showcased the work of The King’s Foundation’s education programmes.
Countryfile hosts Matt Baker, Margherita Taylor and Adam Henson met staff from Charles’s charity for the programme while the royal residence was transformed into a festive wonderland.
But during the festive special, which aired three days before Christmas, the TV presenter appeared to place his hand on the King’s elbow when he greeted him.
The gesture did not go down well with royal fans who went on social media to call him out on his “toe curling” gaffe.
