Prince Andrew is expected to travel to spend time at a royal palace overseas in Abu Dhabi.
Prince Andrew is reportedly “set to flee the UK” and travel to Abdu Dhabi amid the latest royal scandal.
The disgraced royal has been gifted the use of a palace in Abu Dhabi by the country’s autocratic elite, it has been revealed.
The Daily Beast reports that Andrew Lownie will make the claim in a highly anticipated biography about the 64-year-old next year.
Amid recent reports of the unfair treatment over his relationship with alleged spy Yang Tengbo, several of the Duke of York friends’ have claimed that he could “do a [Prince] Harry” and move overseas within the next few months.
It was reportedly last week that Andrew had allegedly “invited” the Chinese “spy” into three royal palaces – including that of Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle.
Prince Andrew made the decision to not attend the royal’s pre-Christmas lunch at Buckingham Palace yesterday, December 19.
Earlier this week, Andrew and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson – whom he lives with at Royal Lodge – bowed out of joining the rest of the Firm for the traditional Christmas gathering at Sandringham over his relationship with the alleged Chinese spy.
Speaking of Andrew’s absence on Thursday, royal author Phil Dampier claimed that he was “very surprised” by Andrew’s decision.
He said: “I am very surprised that Andrew has pulled out of the Buckingham Palace lunch because it is a private event and he would only be seen arriving in his car.
