The third child of the Prince and Princess of Wales went against the royal tradition during his recent appearance

Prince Louis has officially marked a significant milestone in his young royal journey, breaking tradition in a move during his recent appearance.

As per GB News, the Royal editor Svar Nanan-sen has asserted that the young royal often “steals the show” during engagements with his “cheeky” behaviour.

Prince Louis went against the royal tradition with his dress code as he wore a full black suit, something the royal hadn’t worn before at an official engagement.

The oldest of the three Wales children, Prince George, opted to wear a full suit for the first time when he attended the Euro 2020 final in London.

However, the fourth in line to the throne was not allowed for a year earlier than his elder brother.

Protocol expert and etiquette coach William Hanson has previously explained to Hello the reason behind the short trouser royal tradition.

He said, “Today, young boys usually transition into trousers around age seven.”

The coach added, “Prince George is always seen in shorts because upper-class and upper-middle-class parents believe that little boys should look like little boys, and so try to keep their offspring looking as cute and innocent for as long as possible.”

Hanson continued, “It’s one of the many silent class indicators we have in Britain,” adding, “Trousers on young boys is considered a tad suburban and lower market.”

Notably, in 2023, Prince Louis also wore full-length trousers for the Christmas carol service, but he complimented a double-breasted coat and a checked shirt beneath.
