New Update: Trump’s urgent letter to Iran gives two-month ultimatum for new nuclear deal….See More

This comes as Iran, Russia and China met for a meeting and called upon the United States to end its sanctions on Tehran.
President Donald Trump’s letter to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei included a two-month ultimatum to reach a new nuclear deal amid Russia, China, and Iran meeting in Beijing to discuss their nuclear ambitions.
Trump has previously said that Iran “can’t have a nuclear weapon” after it was reported that China is aiding Iran’s nuclear weapons desires. The United Nations nuclear watchdog has also sounded alarm over Iran’s plans to upgrade their nuclear arsenal amid Tehran enriching uranium with thousands of advanced centrifuges at two of its main nuclear facilities at Fordo and Natanz.
During their meeting, Moscow, Beijing and Tehran implored the United States to end sanctions on Iran over its rapidly advancing nuclear program and restart multinational talks on the issue.
According to sources who spoke to Axios, it is unclear when the two-month clock begins but was delivered by US envoy to the Middle East, Steve Witkoff to the United Arab Emirates president Mohammed Bin Zayed at an Abu Dhabi meeting. Before the letter was delivered, U.S. allies like Israel, the UAE and Saudi Arabia were briefed about the contents.
There are two ways Iran can be handled- militarily, or you make a deal. I would prefer to make a deal because I am not looking to hurt Iran,” Trump said.
If Iran rejects the letter, it will exacerbate the chances of American or Israeli military action against Tehran’s nuclear facilities as Trump’s “maximum pressure” campaign from his first term to prevent Iranian oil exports continue.
However, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian’s office denied receiving any letter according to Iranian state media.
Iranian state media quoted Pezeshkian rejecting U.S. negotiations over Iran’s nuclear program that is producing uranium at nearly weapons-grade level, asking him to “do whatever the hell you want.”
“It is unacceptable for us that they give orders and make threats. I won’t even negotiate with you. Do whatever the hell you want,” he said.
Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei has previously warned Iran against being bullied into nuclear negotiations by the United States.
In the letter, Trump said that he did not want pen-ended negotiations and wanted to make a deal within a two-month period, Axios reported.
While Khamenei did not support the American negotiations, the Iranian mission to the UN issued a statement on X expressing openness to negotiate.
If the objective of negotiations is to address concerns vis-à-vis any potential militarization of Iran’s nuclear program, such discussions may be subject to consideration,” the statement read.
Over the weekend, Trump ordered a series of airstrikes on the Houthi-held areas in Yemen, which killed at least 53 people, including children. Trump ramped up the attacks on Monday saying he would target Iran for its alleged ties to the Houthis.
He posted on Truth Social, accusing Tehran of orchestrating the Houthi attacks.
Let nobody be fooled! The hundreds of attacks being made by Houthi, the sinister mobsters and thugs based in Yemen, who are hated by the Yemeni people, all emanate from, and are created by, IRAN,” Trump wrote.
“Iran has played ‘the innocent victim’ of rogue terrorists from which they’ve lost control, but they haven’t lost control. They’re dictating every move, giving them the weapons, supplying them with money and highly sophisticated Military equipment, and even, so-called, ‘Intelligence.’
He warned that “every shot fired by the Houthis will be looked upon, from this point forward, as being a shot fired from the weapons and leadership of IRAN, and IRAN will be held responsible, and suffer the consequences, and those consequences will be dire!”
